Hospital coverage
100% coverage for semi-private room up to 90 days per year.
Semi private room coverage:
- 100% coverage for up to 90 days per year.
- $30 per day when semi-private room unavailable.
- For claims relating to pregnancy, this benefit begins after 8 months.
Prescription drugs
We’ll cover 80% of the cost of prescribed drugs up to $2500 per year, with a maximum of $625 per 3-month calendar quarter.
3-month calendar quarters are defined as 3 consecutive months commencing on the first (1st) day of January, April, July or October in a calendar year totalling up to $2,500 per year. Check your policy booklet for details.
Dental
Dental fees are covered at 70% up to $1,000 per year combined maximum for fillings, extractions and root canals.
Coverage must be active for 6 months before benefits activate.
One recall examination, scaling and polishing unit* are covered per year.
Coverage includes:
- X-rays.
- Fillings.
- Extractions.
- Root Canal.
- Denture cleaning, rebasing, relining and repair.
* 1 unit = 15 minutes
Accidental Death & Dismemberment**
Accidental Death and Dismemberment provides coverage up to the age of 65. You and your spouse are covered up to a maximum of $25000 each. Dependent children are covered up to a maximum of $5000.
