New Rates and Health Declaration C Effective March 5, 2024

To continue to provide our clients with quality service around the world, we are adjusting the premiums for Emergency Medical Care coverage and Visitors to Canada plan. The new rates will be effective March 5, 2024.

Several factors have contributed to this increase, including the growing number of claims and the rising cost of healthcare worldwide.

Below is a table outlining the increase breakdown.

New Travel Rates 2024

There is no rate change to Trip Cancellation or Interruption and Emergency Medical Care in Canada coverage.

Changes to Health Declaration C

Please note important changes have been made regarding our health declaration. As of March 5th, we will require a health declaration for the following age bands and trip durations:

Existing quotes will need to be reviewed to make sure that they meet the new health declaration requirements. Quotes saved before March 5th will not be honored.

Official documents and Partner’s Guide

New versions of all travel insurance policies and health declarations will be available as of March 5th, 2024.

Lynx Air Ceases Operations: What You Need to Know

Blue Cross Travel Cancellation or Interruption insurance: If you purchased your policy (including this coverage) before February 23, 2024, you are covered. This means that Blue Cross will provide coverage for any cancellations or interruptions related to Lynx Air.

However, if you bought your travel insurance including Trip Cancellation or Interruption on or after February 23, 2024, it will not cover this specific situation, as it is now publicly known.

Keep in mind that certain limitations apply in the event of Provider default. For complete details, please refer to your travel insurance policy.
