Recently, the benefit formerly known as "Managing Chronic Disease" has been renamed "Health Coaching and Chronic Disease Management." This change reflects the larger scope of services our provider networks are delivering beyond chronic conditions. These programs provide symptom management and action plans aimed at addressing modifiable risk factors, such as smoking cessation, behaviour modification, and weight loss. Further, the addition of menopause coaching helps members manage symptoms and navigate the natural transitions of midlife.
Medavie Blue Cross is taking significant steps to address and prioritize women's health. As part of this, we are excited to introduce a dedicated Women’s Health resource centre, launching in April. Blue Cross members have access to this central hub that explores and addresses the unique health challenges faced by women, offering navigation tools and dedicated solutions aimed at empowering women to live healthier and happier lives.
