Rate Adjustment Updates During Postal Strike
Due to the postal strike, we will be emailing Rate Adjustment letters to members with February renewal dates starting this week, while we work to find a solution to replace your rate increase reports.
For members without emails, we are discussing alternatives and will provide an update shortly.
Reminder to Encourage Members to Enrol in Direct Deposit
A reminder that the Canada Post strike may impact members who rely on postal services for claims and reimbursement updates. To avoid disruptions, members are strongly encouraged to enroll in direct deposit through either our secure Blue Cross Mobile app or the secure Member Services Site.

We appreciate your support in helping members register for direct deposit and ensuring uninterrupted access to their claims and reimbursements.
Reminder - New Rates Effective January 1, 2025 for Individual Business
Please note that as of January 1, 2025, the rates for the Guaranteed Acceptance Health Plan will see an increase in the range of 1.7% to 2.4% and the Retiree Health Plan will increase by 9.4%.
New Question in the Online Application
Effective December 14, 2024, there will be a new question added to the application in which you will need to select a reason the applicant is looking for coverage. See image below:
Medavie Blue Cross Individual Member Communication
This month, members will receive an email highlighting the benefits of the Assured Access add-on. This includes guaranteed access to coverage for future medical conditions without additional underwriting and the opportunity to upgrade their health coverage before their one-year anniversary.
We encourage you to review the details of this communication to assist members who may reach out with questions about upgrading their coverage. Your support is invaluable in helping members make informed decisions about their health plans.
