We received the enrollment emails this morning and I’ve connected with several staff members today – everyone has said how easy the online enrollment process was with Blue Cross. So far so good with the transition. Really impressed with the MBC system on this!
Our experience with Medavie Blue Cross has been very positive overall. Throughout the onboarding process, the team at MBC was very attentive to our specific needs and responded to concerns in a timely and professional manner. Transitioning to a new benefits provider can be a difficult process; however, MBC provided a very smooth transition. Even when problems came up, their team worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure they were resolved and company timelines were adhered to.
Since completing our transition to Blue Cross, the service has been fantastic. From an administrator perspective, communication with the MBC team is ongoing and I certainly feel supported for any questions or concerns that may come up. Requests are always completed quickly and with eagerness. Our employees also notice an improved experience since switching carriers. The fact that so many practitioners are able to direct bill MBC, makes it much easier for our employees to access services. Additionally, we’ve noticed many more resources and support available to our employees which gives them more insight into their benefits coverage and many additional value-added services.
Overall, we’re very pleased with our decision to choose Medavie Blue Cross for our employee benefits.
I began using the most recent Medavie Blue Cross online enrolment tool for my new implementations this year and I must say I’m very happy with it. This process makes the transfer of the participants’ files way simpler by allowing them to confirm the accuracy of their personal information, among other things. It’s a two for one! I recommend it!
When our group transitioned to Medavie Blue Cross, we chose to use electronic onboarding. The process was really simple, all we had to do was complete a spreadsheet with basic employee information. None of our members had any difficulties with the online enrolment. The entire process was easy, seamless and no paper!
Paper-based enrolments can be a real challenge when onboarding a new group. Getting the paperwork to the employees, getting the forms back, and then deciphering what they’ve written is very time consuming. All those activities disappear when a group chooses electronic onboarding. Most working Canadians have access to a cellphone or a computer, either can be used for electronic enrolment.
Electronic onboarding dramatically reduces the workload for plan administrators. As the advisor, we choose to partially complete the electronic onboarding spreadsheet using the information we collected on the employee data spreadsheet during the quoting process. Once the electronic enrolment period opens, we check for progress at the ½ way point and ask the plan admin to follow up with anyone who hasn’t completed theirs. These are the only 2 tasks for the plan administrator!
