As part of our rebranding the Individual health line to Blue Cross Health, we are changing the names of two Individual health plans: Elements and Guaranteed Issue. The switch to the new names will be made on March 6, 2023.
Complete Health (formerly Elements)
Our underwritten plan, formerly Elements, is getting the more descriptive name of Complete Health, which speaks to the wide range of benefits provided by Medavie Blue Cross.
Guaranteed Acceptance (formerly Guaranteed Issue)
Our non-underwritten plan, formerly Guaranteed Issue, will be renamed Guaranteed Acceptance to give it a more customer-friendly description.
Both product names have been focus-group tested with very positive feedback. Once they are introduced to the market, we look forward to an equally positive reception from members and consumers.
Our teams are working hard to update our resources with the new names, some references to the old names will still be in play. In transition, we are assuring our customers that regardless of the name the same benefits and service still apply. We anticipate resource updates to extend throughout 2023 as we integrate the name changes with existing workloads.

In order to help Brokers service their clients better, we shared a copy of the Agent Inquiry Health Products Billing Calendar in the Fall of 2022. Information includes appropriate notice for requests and the billing cycle.
We’ve recently updated the calendar for 2023, this updated version can be viewed in the Resources section of the Agent Microsite.
Back in October of 2022 Medavie Blue Cross worked with our partner Ontario Blue Cross, a member of the Canadian Association of Blue Cross Plans, to launch our suite of individual health and dental plans in Ontario through their Advisors network.
We are pleased to advise that in collaboration with our partner Quebec Blue Cross and following the success of the launch in Ontario last Fall, we are launching to all Advisors in Quebec starting February 6th, 2023.
We are excited that this partnership has provided better digital tools for clients and partners, while staying centred around an optimal client experience.
